Infrastructure

Infrastructure Development,
From Origination to Execution

Who We Are

Subsaharan Group is an infrastructure project development and sponsorship platform headquartered in West Africa. We originate, structure, and coordinate large-scale projects across the African continent — spanning energy generation, grid infrastructure, industrial facilities, and strategic assets.

Subsaharan Group is actively engaged in the structuring of infrastructure projects in West Africa.

Our Role

We operate as the structuring interface between three critical stakeholders: sovereign governments seeking infrastructure delivery, institutional investors seeking bankable African assets, and EPC contractors seeking credible project pipelines. Our function is to bring these parties together around well-structured, de-risked transactions.

How We Operate

Every project begins with a government mandate or an identified infrastructure gap. We conduct feasibility assessment, structure the legal and financial framework — typically through Special Purpose Vehicles — and assemble the execution team. We retain project control through the development phase and transition to long-term asset management or exit at financial close.

Governance & Financial Framework

Subsaharan Group structures all financial instruments in compliance with Islamic finance principles. We use sukuk, murabaha, and waqf-based mechanisms where applicable. Conventional instruments are deployed only when structurally required and fully documented.
